Diesel engines often lack a tachometer signal, either because they use a mechical fuel injection or because the electronic injection does not supply one.

This kit lets you measure engine RPM directly from the crank and feed this to your Compushift controller or tachometer. This sensor is a magnetic digital switch that senses a notch in the harmonic balancer or engine pulley at crank speed.

The sensor requires a switched +12 and ground connection. Although the sensor is equipped with a mounting flange, some custom fabrication may be needed for your engine.
